Perry Township

Armstrong County Pennsylvania

Location: Northwest of the Miller¹s Eddy road (legislative route 03113) where it leaves Queenstown-Petrolia road (03029), the Perry Township road maintenance building is on the site of a barn built by John Binkerd around 1840. Of the numerous family burials that took place above the creek behind the barn only a few markers remain. Two have legible inscriptions:

BINKERD, Peter d. 4 Apr 1848, aged 22 yrs., 8 mos., 26 days, s/o J.& E. Binkerd

McCOY, Susannah d. 21 Oct 1859, aged 36 yrs., 1 mo., 9 days, w/o Andrew McCoy
